Yurui (Raymond) Wu
Hi! My name is Yurui “Raymond” Wu (/u˧˥ y˨˩˦ ʐweɪ˥˩/, 吴禹睿).
I am pursuing a B.S. in Statistics and Analytics, with a minor in Economics, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I expect to graduate in December 2026.
I am originally from Hangzhou, China. Before transferring to UNC in August 2024, I studied Finance at the University of International Business and Economics in Beijing (September 2023–June 2024).

About my research interests
My interests broadly include statistical learning theory and inference, machine learning, optimization, and decision-making under uncertainty. I am especially interested in developing reliable statistical models, understanding their theoretical properties, and learning from complex or evolving data—including applications in economics and finance.
I also enjoy studying dynamical systems and strategic interactions, particularly how incentives, feedback, and adaptation shape behavior and decisions in complex systems.
